Jesus and the Message of Love and Forgiveness

Jesus’s teachings on love, compassion, and forgiveness resonate with the Synphotodosist ideals of the divine light manifesting through human relations. His advocacy for loving one’s neighbour and forgiveness highlights the essential interconnectedness and harmony that underpin the community of light.

He summed up the law in two commandments, love of God and love of neighbour, and when asked who the neighbour is he answered with a story, in which the one who cares for a stranger left wounded on the road is a Samaritan, an outsider to those listening. He taught his followers to love their enemies, to forgive without keeping count, and to give, pray and fast where no one is watching. At the last supper he washed his disciples’ feet.
