The Role of Enlightened Figures

UPL values the profound impact of enlightened figures from various spiritual traditions, recognising them as embodiments of divine light who illuminate the path towards greater wisdom, compassion, and ethical living. Esteemed figures such as Jesus, Muhammad, Buddha, Masaharu Taniguchi, Laozi, Guru Nanak, and others are revered for their teachings that deeply align with the foundational tenets of UPL.

  3. Buddha and the Path to EnlightenmentThe Buddha is honoured for his teaching on suffering and impermanence, and for a path of mindfulness, ethical conduct and compassion.
  4. Masaharu Taniguchi and the Power of Positive ThinkingMasaharu Taniguchi, founder of Seicho-No-Ie, is honoured for teaching the power of positive thinking and the divine nature of the true self.
  5. Laozi and the Way of HarmonyLaozi is honoured for the Tao Te Ching and its teaching of the Way: a nameless source, action that does not force, gentleness and contentment.
